Seighford fishing report

week ending 2//11

Trout Fishing.

The variation in weather has been the biggest battle this week. Going from cool winds last week to baking hot days pretty much every day this week. Fresh fish have gone into both pools. With 150 going into the Railway Pool good sport was sure to follow, and so it has with Tony Sunderland being top rod this week. Tony landed a total of 8 fish the biggest being just shy of 7lb. He took all his Trout on a Black and Green Lure catching from both pools in all different areas.

Local angler 'Jock' had some Fantastic early morning action on Sunday. Fishing from just 7am till 10am he hooked and landed 6 cracking Rainbows ranging from 4lb up to 6lb all on a White and Green Lure. He caught the majority of his fish from the Swan Neck Pool.

Best flies this week have varied from big Lures to small naturals. Buzzers and Damsels have taken fish through out the week. Along with Black and Green, White and Green and Orange Lures also taking their fair share of fish.

Hopefully with the expected colder weather that we are forecast over the next few weeks, the Trout will become more active. Hope to see you down here soon. Tight Lines

Coarse Fishing.

**Old Pool Closed Saturday 8Th October due to a club booking, also half the lake is booked out on Sunday 9Th October**

**The Horse Shoe Pool is closed on Sunday 9Th October due to a club booking**

Both Coarse lakes have continued to fish well this week, with plenty of fish coming out every day to all sorts of methods and baits.

John White had one of his best ever session on Saturday, after leaving the sport for a number of years, he got back into it in style. He picked a peg on the far side of the Horse Shoe Pool and was into fish straight away. He Caught an estimated 150 fish, including Carp, Roach, Perch and some bonus Tench. John took all his fish using double Red Maggot which was fished at 10 meters out on the pole tight up against an over hanging bush off the island.

Keith Smith from Stafford had a great days fishing on Peg to on the Old Pool. He fished his Pole over two lines, one directly in front of him at 13 meters another to his right in the margins. Keith used meat and corn as hook baits but fed small amounts of hemp and maggots to temp his 65lb bag of Carp. Best fish on the day was 7lb.
