Seighford fishing report
week ending 22/11/09
Trout Fishing.
This colder weather has produced some great days fishing this week with anglers catching plenty of fish and some cracking rainbows well into double figures. Both lakes have been fishing well, with 4 new platforms added to the railway pool anglers can fish all over the lake giving anglers a chance to cover fish. White patterns have produced the majority of trout with a white blob proving the best as Bill Love proved by taking 23 fish all over the two lakes, Black and Green, Damsels, Rubber Legged Daddies will also take you plenty of fish. Paul Stone took a fine rainbow out of the Swan neck pool weighing 7lb 8ozs along with 4 other fine rainbows all in the space of 3 hours, Paul tempted the fish on a green and white lure on both lakes. The trout lakes will fish well now all the way through the new year with the chance of catching some really big trout hopefully see you up here soon Tight Lines.
We will be opening up for Boxing day, and we have a few things for you to have a go at...
The angler who has the Biggest fish of the day.. that is killed and weighed at the lodge will receive a bottle of whiskey.
The angler who catches and kills the first fish of the day and returns to the lodge with the fish straight away Will receive a free days fishing (including 2 fish)
The angler who has the best Brace of fish on the day will also receive a free days fishing (including 2 fish)
For all of the above prizes, you must purchase minimum of a 2 fish ticket.. If you are going for just the best fish or 1st fish of the day, a 1 fish ticket is also available.
It is ONE prize per angler.
There will also be FREE tea and coffee served all day...and please help your self to mince pies. Please Book in at the lodge before hand so we can just get an idea of numbers. The number is 01785282967

Coarse Fishing.
Local angler Big Rich fished a mid-week session this week, he fished peg 16 and took 9 Carp over 3lb and a few bonus Tench. He fished two carp rods, using pellets as hook baits and feeding his swim with a method feeder. A stocking of 4000 silver fish will be going in Wednesday 9th December, These fish are sure to keep bites coming throughout these next few months we have in store. Any winter club matches can be booked in on the Old Pool as we will be keeping the lake ice free with our Aerators. To book in ring us on the lodge phone on 01785 282967.
