Seighford fishing report
week ending 22/11/09
Trout Fishing.
Even with this colder weather moving in the fishing has remained at a good standard. A stocking of fish went in 12Th November. Again an average of 3lb, and some bonus lumps well into double figures were spread out over the two lakes. These new stockies have livened up the resident fish and some decent bags of Trout have been coming out. Top rod of the week is Chris Sinclair, The Crewe based angler took 9 fish on the 15Th November. Chris Caught on a variety of flies. From small lures, blobs and montannas to small dries (CDC's). He was accompanied by his father Terry Sinclair who also managed to bag 7 fish. On the same day Aky(Pedro) from Willenhall banked 8 fish from the Railway Pool, Aky's best fish was a fully finned 5lb 8oz Rainbow Trout. He caught all his fish on a weighted Black Fritz. Best fish of the week was Bob Pritchard who had a Trout just over 7lb. Bob Took the fish on an Olive Fritz.

Coarse Fishing.
Coarse fishing has really picked up this week, some big bags of Carp have come out of the Old pool, the best method has been Method feeder. Using pellet hair rigged to a size 14 hook.
14Th November N Powell took 38lb of fish off peg 18. He used a Cage feeder with pellet on the hook and was casting it to the island. Local angler Big Rich and friend George fished on 18 November and 20th November. They fished pegs 20 and 21, both having around 20 Carp each and a few bonus Bream on there first session. They used Method feeder with pellet on the hook. On there 2nd visit this week, they bagged a further 26 fish between them, biggest fish was a 9lb Common Carp. This rain really has turned the fish on a feeding frenzy. A stocking of Coarse fish will be due within the next two weeks. The Old Pool is going to be topped up with Silver fish, mainly to keep bites coming throughout the winter months.
Hope to see you all soon. Tight lines.
