Swansneck - Fly Fishing
This mature 2.7 acre trout pool is stocked with top quality rainbow and blue trout ranging from 3lb up to double figures. There are 20 pegs on this lake, with plenty of room in between each peg to give every angler plenty of fresh water to fish. The water in Swan Neck is gin clear with good weed growth and an average depth of 4ft so all you really need is a floating line or an intermediate at the most. The fish are free rising and some of the best sport can be had on Dry Flies which is very rare on small waters. Dries like CDC’S, Hoppers, Daddy long-legs and Hogs will catch you great bags of quality trout on this lake. The lake is stocked weekly to keep the turnover of fresh fish in the lake which will give the anglers great sport all year round on all methods. This lake offers every angler a bit of what they like whether it’s pulling lures form black/green Fritz’s to Cats Whiskers, Nymph fishing or Dries. The tackle shop in the lodge is stocked with all the top tackle you need whether you want to take up the sport or just need a new fly line, Iain Barr flies are also on sale in the lodge.
